I just checked the registration, and Jurek is on it now too. Should be an interesting race. I'll be manning one of the aid stations, but I don't think I'll have a signal to give updates.

Better late than never Karl!

Hi Karl,
Are you planning on doing odds for White River this weekend? There are some pretty good runners signed up; Krupicka, Koerner, Crowther, Wardian, Emerson, Ricks, Lint, Kochik, etc. The women's field doesn't seem as deep, but Kami Semick and Prudence L'Heureux are signed up.

Hey Karl, any forthcoming odds for this weekend's White River 50M? Krupicka is on the registered list and it sounds like from his blog that he will be there.

I loved the race and it made me feel so alive, thank you. A high-five from the RD at the finish meant alot to me.

A couple concerns: firstly that the 2nd dropbag point is nearly at the end of the race, and after all the hard ascents, while inbetween the dropbag points us slower runners are really struggling just to eat & drink enough to keep going. If it's policy not to supply gels at aidstations, fine, but more headsup warnings on the site about stocking up on food to bridge the gap between the dropbag points would be appreciated.

After the final aidstation, runners were wondering whether it was ok to slide down the snowfield instead of following the flags precisely. I did slide down, and it was the highlight of the day for me and a wonderful stress reliever, but you could make this clear in the pre-race briefing.

Thanks again for a great experience :)

I love to do events that are hard and challenging and in great locations and this one sure delivers. Thanks to Karl and the great volunteers for a great day in the mountains. It never got easy, but it never stopped being fun.

Thanks for a great course and race. The aid stations and volunteers were great, the course well marked, and the trail/route challenging. I think I'll need a second serving;-)
