Ian, alot of folks have mentioned that to me, cuz' one of the qualifiers is Pinhoti. I won't qualify at Steamboat. We'll see, I will say I don't feel it'll be my focus on next year,, but we'll see. It is good to see the WS board finally putting in some 100s, but I would rather see them list 10 100s, and only the winner gets in.

Amy Sproston will defintely be top 5. She killed it at Hellgate on rough trails and then showed her speed winning the World 100K on the roads. Plus, she has run WS before and knows what it's about. And it's not going to be hot - only low 70s - favoring cooler climate runners with speed.

Unless there's a dramatic change in the forecast (unlikely), it's going to be an unusually cool year. The NWS's forecast high for Saturday, in Auburn, is 73 degrees. (A hot WS would have Auburn over 100.). From the NWS forecast discussion today: "ONE THING THAT DOES LOOK CERTAIN IS MUCH COOLER
TEMPERATURES INTO NEXT WEEKEND...AS MUCH AS 5-10 DEGREES BELOW
NORMAL."

(AJW, are you out there? I feel for you.) :-)
