Is it spring yet?
I guess it’s time to start running more than 40 miles per week! The snow is finally melting out here in the front range of SLC. More vertical to be had, and actual dirt to run on. Running on ice and snow is overrated.
A few cool races are around the corner. The Old Pueblo 50…deep in the desert of Arizona on March 7, and the all too popular Way Too Cool 50k in Cool, California on March 14. I’ll do odds for WTC on my next post….and I won’t procrastinate either! And how can I procrastinate on that, I’m headed back there for a third run at it… gotta see what this old man can run. After Moab, it should be pretty good. Especially with those whopping 40 mile weeks behind me.
The Speedgoat 50k apps have been coming in steadily now, so it’s time to put it on the list and start running some hills. I’ll post an entrants list soon….if I don’t procrastinate.
I still have a few spots left for coaching services. If you need some advice, now’s the time of year to get it rolling….or running.
For gear reviews, check out my page at Backcountry for all kinds of knowledge about all kinds of gear.
And a belated congrats to AJW for smoking the course at Rocky Raccoon! We’ll see if he has any legs left at Cool. Perhaps he’s training for Hardrock? He’d better get on some hills! And get up high! 🙂
I’ve decided to stack together some 100s again this year. I’ll be running Massannutten, Bighorn, and Hardrock. Then I’ll run Wasatch, Bear, and Grindstone. Maybe Pinhoti if I can afford it too.
Now I’m gonna go run on some dirt, today’s 61 degree high should be nice.
Now go run!
